Journey to Croatia

My flight to London from Seattle was enhanced by my seating and the pleasant surprise of seeing surfing in Munich on the back page of the New York Times. British Air treated me royally for the flight to London. After a 2-hour delay to fix a jet engine that wouldn't start we flew to Split, arriving in the late afternoon. No one else in my Swim Trek group is here yet so the hotel is pretty quiet. I unpacked, took a short stroll around the area adjacent to the hotel, and had a post-sunset meal right at the waterside. Exhausted, I finally let myself drift off the dreamland to rest up for my exploration of the island tomorrow.
